Set on the edge of the South Downs, The Downs Hotel has long been a welcoming stop for locals, walkers and visitors to Brighton.
Dating back to the 1920s, this historic pub and hotel has been part of the Woodingdean community for generations. A local story even tells that the pub’s name, painted across the roof, once helped guide RAF pilots home during the Second World War.
Today, The Downs continues to offer a relaxed and friendly place to meet, eat, drink and unwind. Whether you’re joining us for a meal, a drink with friends or a stay near the coast, we look forward to welcoming you.
